Diarrhea in young lambs < 3 months of age is a disease syndrome that can severely erode production in sheep flocks with significant impact on lamb survival, incidence of co-morbidities, growth rates, feed conversion rates and fertility. Performing post mortem investigations on lamb mortalities during outbreaks is an essential and critically important component of syndrome investigation and disease control and provides a wealth of information regarding the implementation of effective prophylactic measures. In this webinar Rick will guide you through important and common pathologies associated with a wide array of aetiological agents associated with diarrhea outbreaks in lambs, to facilitate your skills at lesion recognition. Recognizing indicator pathologies of particular conditions ensures that the correct samples are collected, which in-turn increases your likelihood of a successful diagnostic outcome with implementation of effective control measures. Demonstration of sample collection techniques for effective investigation of diarrhea outbreaks also forms part of this webinar.
